A slow walk through history
We are starting a new teaching series through the Book of Acts. We will be meandering into this letter for the next several {translation :: many} months. Our goal together is not to be in a rush as we soak in what this early historical writing has to say to us today.
Ultimately I want to be your tour guide on this trip. Helping us all to stop, sit down and gaze at certain scenery. Some spots on the trip we will pull out the binoculars to focus on objects out in the distance. While other times we will need to get out our helmets as we crawl down into the cracks and crevasse. Every week we want to ask ourselves, “what does this mean for me today”.
My prayer through this study is that each of you will come into a continually renewed relationship with God and experience the power of the Holy Spirit as you do ministry. Make sure to bring your journals or notebooks with you every week. God is going to say some great things to you and as Luke portrays through his writings, “history makers are detailed note takers”.
